The Race for Breast Cancer Awareness - in Memory of Christy Bowlin 5K run/walk will be held on October 5th, 2024 on Carson-Newman's campus. The race is in memory of Christy Yonz Bowlin, the Carson-Newman University cheer and dance coach from 2007-2021, who passed away from a courageous battle against breast cancer. Her athletes became part of her family - she prayed for them, encouraged them, mentored them, and cared for them more than anyone would ever know. All benefits will be contributed toward an endowed scholarship in memory of Christy.

Race is presented by FirstBank

The race will begin at the Randall and Kay O'Brien Amphitheater.

The amphitheater is located at the Allen and Phyllis Morgan East Campus on Mossy Creek, at the intersection of Davis St. and Walnut Ave.
