Description

This event is Abilene's third annual "Run to Remember", which will take a moment to pause and pay tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001.  Additionally, the run distance is set to 9.11 kilometers, which is in honor of those that paid the ultimate price.  The proceeds will be divided among the Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Deparment of Buffalo Gap, Texas, located south of Abilene, and the Air Force Sergeants Association  "Big Country" Chapter 1056. 

Event details and schedule

The run and walk will begin at 7:00 am.

First 150 participants registered for the 9.11K course will receive a finisher medal!  Runners and Walkers registered by September 1, 2015 will Receive a "Run to Remember" T-Shirt!  After September 1st T-Shirt's are based on size availibilty

Virtual Runners will have a "Run to Remember" T-Shirt mailed to them after the race No matter when they register!

(Note: Virtual Runners do not participate in the race day event)

Early Packet Pickup will be at Abilene Running Co. Friday Septemeber 9th from 1-6PM. 

Race Day Packet pickup will start 0600 at Redbud Park.
