Challenging but extremely scenic trail course around the lake and reservoir! The trail consists of a variety of surfaces, from paved pathway to single track rock and root covered dirt path, packed gravel, as well as parts of the mulch path. (There are a few rocky areas on the blue trail, you can either walk, hop or crawl your way through!)
The 25k starts at the Morrow pavilion goes out the entrance crosses the street up the sledding hill through he equestrian camping area. Cross hill road follow the blue trail across the entrance to the boat launch area around the perimeter of the reservoir. Then crosses over the bridges, follows the red trail around the Reservoir to Knight Road Cross knights road follow the marked course through the woods back to the red trail cross over knights road. Follow the red trail up bear right at the fork follow the hemlock trail around over the bridges back to the school turn right head down the big hill on to the perk trail. Follow the perk trail back around to the entrance of the park stay on the perk to you will get to the bridge. go over the bridge and around you hit the orang trail follows the orange trail around Follow the markings across Deep creek rd around the back of the camp ground cross the parking lot in front of the office follow the trail to the closed road back to the main park area follow the Dam around to the switchback up to the closed road down the hill over the dam. once over the Dam follow the trail around the lake to the back of the pavilion. .
The 50k will be 2 loops of the 25k course.
For all races, arrive before the sun rises and catch the beauty of the reflection on the lake. These races are the perfect time of year to see the changing leaves and enjoy the crisp air.
