Come BACK THE TRACK and support the Woodford County Track Club!

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15TH at 7:30PM at the WOODFORD COUNTY HS TRACK

The Woodford County Track Club is hosting a 5K run/walk and 1 Mile fun run/walk which will start and finish on the new track at Woodford County High School. Proceeds will go to support the Woodford County Track Club which supports the track and field programs through the public schools throughout Woodford County.

RACE FEATURES:

• Opportunity to "break in" the new high school track
• Commemorative super soft (unisex sized) race shirts (XS-3XL)
• Participants are invited to wear their best black and gold
• Free race photos
• Awards for Top 3 M/F Overall & Top 3 M/F in 5-year age divisions
• Convenient race evening packet pickup at the high school
• Paved course through the school complex and Falling Springs Trail
• 5K run/walk (timed), 1-mile fun run/walk (untimed) and virtual option
• Woodford Track Challenge - Opportunity to test your skills and try to break a school record (read more below)
• Stick Horse Race sponsored by Grey Ridge Farm Riding Academy-For ages 8 and under (read more below)

STICK HORSE RACE SPONSORED BY GREY RIDGE FARM RIDING ACADEMY 

Children ages 8 and under are invited to join in a Stick Horse Race before the 5k race. Each child will get their very own stick horse to race and keep. You don't need to sign up for this in advance, but we are interested in whether you want to participate (so we can get a general head count).  You'll actually sign up (and sign a waiver) on race night for the Stick Horse Race.

The cost to participate is $5. Payment for the Woodford Track Challenge will be made on the night of the race (cash or credit/debit card accepted). 

WOODFORD TRACK CHALLENGE EVENTS

We plan to hold a series of fun, special challenge events on the night of the race from 5:30-7:00pm.  All levels are welcome to participate and "Test Your Skills" in various track and field disciplines.  The Woodford County Track Club with the help of the HS Track Team will help organize/run the events. You don't need to sign up for this in advance, but we are interested in whether you want to participate (so we can get a general head count).  You'll actually sign up (and sign a waiver) on race night for the Woodford Track Challenge.

The cost to participate is $5/event or $15 for all events.  Payment for the Woodford Track Challenge will be made on the night of the race (cash or credit/debit card accepted).
