Run Ready: Running Strength, Mobility, & Injury Prevention
Prerequisites
- This program is tailored for anyone who wishes to improve their running quality and economy through specific running drills.
- A PAR-Q+ (medical intake form) is required for all participants before attending.
What to Bring
- A water bottle
- Athletic clothing and running shoes (something you can move in!)
Training Overview
This workshop is designed to improve endurance running performance by enhancing strength, mobility, and injury prevention through targeted strength training, running efficiency, and recovery techniques. The goal is to help runners optimize their running economy, reduce injury risk, and build the physical durability needed for long-distance running.
Outcomes
- Improve the quality of running and economy through running specific drills
- Build strength and stability in key muscle groups to enhance endurance and efficiency
- Learn injury prevention strategies for common running-related issues (IT band syndrome, shin splints, Achilles tendinopathy, knee pain, etc.)
- Master dynamic warm-ups and post-run recovery techniques for optimal performance and longevity
