Thank you for your interest in the City of Rushville Mayor’s 5K Run/Walk with this year’s proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Rush County. Every day in our state, 161,613 kids go home alone and are unsupervised between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m. With no adult guidance, these kids are at risk of being unsafe. Each day at the Boys & Girls Club of Rush County, more than 200 local kids walk through the doors. We fill the gap between school and home. We provide a welcoming, positive environment in which kids and teens have fun, participate in life-changing programs, and build supportive relationships with peers
and caring adults. Our programming is focused on promoting the priority outcomes of academic success, life & workforce readiness, good character & leadership, and healthy lifestyles. The Boys & Girls Club of Rush County serves more than 70% of school age children in Rush County. A gift to the Club supports our programs before- and after-school, on school breaks, and during the summer. Supporting your Club is simple, and there are many ways to help, including volunteering, automated gifts, corporate sponsorship, and planned giving.
The race starts at Riverside Park in Rushville - the entrance to the park is at the intersection of West Water St & South Morgan St.
