This year, participants in the Emmaus Spirit Run may participate either in-person OR virtually! 
 

 Same Day Registration begins at 7:30am on 10/21/23! Runners will start at 9 am, walkers will start at 9:15 am.

RUNNING, COSTUMES AND PUMPKINS….Oh my!

Put away your everyday running gear and get into the Halloween spirit by running in your favorite costume at the

^10th Annual Emmaus Spirit Run 5k on Saturday, October 21, 2023

The 5k loops around the scenic Three Rivers Heritage Trail with the start and finish line in the South Shore Riverfront Park, in the heart of the South Side Works.  Runners may choose to participate in either a chipped or an unchipped race. 

A family friendly 1-mile fun walk along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail is also available. Strollers are welcome! But please leave the dogs at home.

Costumes for all participants and supporters are encouraged.

All proceeds benefit the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh.

FREE coffee and donuts, FREE Family Fun Zone, FREE Post Race snack, FREE Shirt all included!

Emmaus provides homes, services and advocacy for those with intellectual disabilities.

Online registration closes at midnight on October 20th. 

Same day registrations welcome! Event is rain or shine.

Race course:

The run will be a chipped 5k loop on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail with the start and finish line at the South Shore Riverfront Park.

The race starts at the South Shore Riverfront Park, near the Hofbraehaus on 27th street. Enjoy the rolling path along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail to the turnaround near 6th street.  The turnaround will bring you back along the same course you just ran or walked to the finish line, located where you started.  Best part of the race....NO HILLS!

South Side Works garages at 26th and Sydney St.

28th and Sydney St.  

Limited street parking is also available. 

Runners, walkers and their fans are encouraged to wear costumes to the race!
