We are excited for our 3rd annual Larry Prout Jr (The Bear) Courage Fund 5k and 1 mile run/walk fundraiser! This year's race will be held on Saturday, June 28th. 

Proceeds from this event assist University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital families whose loved ones are enduring complex medical issues with gas, food, utilities, clothes, emergency auto and home repairs, and many other basic necessities, that become hardships when a family is facing the medical crisis of a loved one. 

PRICING 5K: $30 until 6/18.  $35 from 6/19 to 6/27. $40 on race day. Online registration only on race day. 

FAMILY/FRIENDS special pricing: $3/person discount when registering 3 or more people at the same time. Discount automatically applied during registration. Valid only for the 5k. Valid until 6/18. 

PRICING 1 MILE: $25 until 6/18. $30 from 6/19 to 6/26. $35 on race day. Online registration only on race day. 

T-shirts are guaranteed with entry by end of day June 13th. Supplies available as they last after that date.

COURSE UPDATE: While our event remains at the same venue we've used for the past two years, there has been a change to the course. Due to updated rules from the local police and township, we are no longer permitted to cross M-36 to access the Lakeland Trail.

Thanks to the generosity of Pinckney Schools and the Pathfinder Navigator School complex, this year’s course will take place on the cross country course used by the school—offering a great alternative right on site.

Looking ahead, starting next year we’ll be moving the event to the Pinckney High School complex. It features a beautiful course and will eliminate any future issues with crossing M-36. Please see the course map along the top of the page or in the side menu. 

PACKET PICKUP: Race day morning June 28th, 8:00 am to 10:00 at the Registration/Check-in Tent. Race packets include: event and sponsor information, race t-shirt, and bib

VIRTUAL RUNNERS: Register by June 13th to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Price is $30. Your packet (including t-shirt and event and sponsor information) will be mailed as the race approaches. You can post your results by going to the results tab at the top of the page and selecting virtual results. Results must be submitted July 6th. 

RESULTS will be live during the race and posted on this website. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
