My Story:

I was ten years old when my dad was first diagnosed with tonsil cancer. Fortunately for us, his cancer was treatable and we were able to catch it before it spread too far. Although, as a ten year old whenever you hear the word, “cancer”, the next word you think of is “death”. It’s scary to have your dad, or family member, have cancer and go through treatment. Most people know someone who has had cancer so this disease affects everyone. My goal with this race is to help raise money to help find a cure for cancer. All the money raised from this event will go to the Baystate Health Foundation to support the D’Amour Cancer Center who helped my dad and many other families.
