Hot Dog Run is Midland’s favorite dog-friendly race that allows participants to run/walk (or fly) with their four-legged sidekicks! People and pets of all ages, sizes and breeds come together each year for a fun event to help save the lives of Midland’s homeless cats & dogs!

This year, we're calling on you all to be ⚡️SUPERHEROES⚡️ Feel free to show up in your costume (your dogs, too) and reveal your true superhero inside! Whether you have a pet or not, you can be a pet superhero and join HOT DOG RUN!  

On its 9th year, Hot Dog Run has been gaining momentum since it started in 2015, averaging 350-400 participants (and their dogs). Hot Dog Run is an important fundraiser for Midland Humane Coalition,helping us rescue our community’s homeless pet and give them a second chance. 

RACE DETAILS

WHAT:  5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk + Pet Costume Competition

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

7:30 AM - Registration opens
8:30 AM - 5K begins
8:35 AM - 1 Mile begins
8:45 AM - Breakfast is served compliments of Texas Roadhouse (for all participants & volunteers)
9:00 AM - Awards
9:30 AM - Pet Costume Competition begins (fabulous prizes await top 3 winners of Best Pet Costume, Best Pet/Parent Costume, Best Trick) 

*All Dogs must be leashed and vaccinated. Please keep your dogs by your side at all times, keep retractable leashes locked and clean up after your pet.
