Description

The Wild Water Derby 5k takes place in the villages of Shortsville and Manchester, NY as folks are preparing to race down the Canandaigua Outlet in kayaks, canoes, and homemade rafts!  The 5k course takes you through the streets of Shortsville and then down the Manchester Gateway Trail along the outlet as spring is just getting started!  

The course is USATF Certified:  NY24017DNB and professional timing is provided by HourGlass Works! 

New this year!  The WWD 5k is part of the Rochester Runner of the Year series!    

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Shortsville and Manchester Volunteer Fire Departments.  

Local handcrafted medals for all!  Handcrafted awards for top finishers in 10-year age groups!  Cash prizes!
