The Loyalty Days Parade in Newport, Oregon, has been a long-standing tradition. The Loyalty Days Parade has been hosted annually in Newport for several decades. 

Join hundreds for an exhilarating prelude to the annual Loyalty Days Parade - the Loyalty Days 1-mile run on Highway 101!  Lace up your running shoes and get ready for a dash of excitement as participants gather for this thrilling one-mile race along the Highway 101 in Newport, Oregon

ABOUT THE RACES

COMMUNITY MILE

Get ready to lace up your sneakers and join our fun, non-competitive, non-timed 1-mile race! The Community Mile is all about bringing our community together for a fun and active experience. Strollers, baby joggers, and wagons are welcome! 

• No race bibs or timing chips – this is all about enjoying the journey!
• No official results – just run, walk, or jog at your own pace and enjoy the camaraderie.
• Race day: Head over to the starting line and be ready to start promptly at 11:45 am

Competitive Mile

For those seeking a bit of friendly competition, we also offer the Competitive Mile. The goal is to provide a fun, competitive, and accessible opportunity for runners of all ages and abilities to test their fitness in the mile. Participants in this category will receive a race bib, official results, and be eligible to awards category.

Awards
Top three overall men and women in the Competitive Mile will receive special recognition.

🎗️ Age Group Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 in each of the following age groups (male & female):  
- 10 & Under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60-69 & 70+

Awards and ribbons can be picked up near the finish line after results are posted.

Pick up your bib the day before or before 11:00am on Race Day then be ready to start promptly at 11:40 am.

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the upcoming Loyalty Days Run a success! Whether you're cheering on runners, ensuring a smooth registration process, or setting the stage for the parade, your contribution makes a difference.

Here's how you can join the team:

• Greeters & Check-In (3 Volunteers): Be the first friendly face runners see! Welcome participants, answer questions, and verify registration and hand out race bibs at the check-in area.
• Finish Chute Crew (4 Volunteers): Set up the finish line chute for a celebratory atmosphere. Be prepared to dismantle it quickly and efficiently after the race to make way for the parade.
