Description

This race is annual  fundraising event for St. Mark's Preschool. There is a 5K race and a 1 mile fun run. 

St. Mark's Preschool has served as a model in the Dalton Community since 1988. The preschool is a place where each child is recognized and appreciated for his/her individuality. we are the only preschool in Dalton whose mission is to provide "cost-effective, inclusive preschool education for special needs children and typical children to learn side by side." Children who are nurtured in this loving, caring environment learn at an early age to accept and appreciate each other's strengths and weaknesses and to celebrate that which makes each child unique and special. The benefits of St. Mark's Preschool to all the chldren are remarkable. The children learn compassion and patience and are taught to look beyond physical and mental differences. The children with special needs have role models, encouragement and socialization from others. They all develop friendship and values that last a lifetime. 

Event details and schedule

This is a run/walk event consisting of a 1 mile run and a 5K run with an expected 300 participants that will be located in the Emery St. Westhill cemetery, and Waugh St. areas. 

Registration begins at 7:30am.

The 1 mile route will begin at 8:30. The participants will line up on W. Emery Street at St. Mark's Church.

The 5K will begin at 9:15 and will line up on W. Emery Street at St. Mark's Church.
