Come and Fool around with us on the best beach in Texas for a 2-Day event!  We encourage you to bring your family and friends and dress up in your most foolish costume as you tackle the 5k and/or Chip Timed 10K course!  A portion of proceeds will be benefiting Walk for Women, Inc. a non-profit organization that benefits women in the lower Rio Grande Valley by providing financial, prosthetic and diagnostic support as they battle breast cancer.   

Male and Female restrooms will always be open though out the hotel for participants. There is Valet parking available for purchase at Margaritaville and limited complimentary lot parking on site.  Hydration stations will be provided on site at Margaritaville, as well as, at the halfway points on the race course on the beach.  Award ceremonies and live music entertainment will be held immediately following the race/walk at Margaritaville Beach Resort!

RACE COURSE: 
10K (6.2 miles). Starts and ends on the beach at Margaritaville Beach Resort on South Padre Island. Water and gatorade stations will be provided along the course and at the finish line. This will be a chip-timed course.  You have the option to walk and/or run. 

5K (3.1 miles). This course starts and ends on the beach at Margaritaville Beach Resort on South Padre Island. THIS IS NOT A RACE. IT IS A PARTICIPATION WALK.  If you’d like, you have the option to also jog and/or run.  

Kids 1 Mile: Starts and ends on the beach at Margaritaville Beach Resort. 

AWARDS & PRESENTATIONS: Medals will be given to the overall 1st male and female winners as well as 1st through 3rd place winners in each male and female age division of the 10K. In addition, the overall top male and female winners will receive a special prize!  Overall winners will be ineligible for awards in their respective age divisions. ALL PARTICIPANTS CROSSING THE FINISH LINES WILL RECEIVE FINISHER MEDALS. (while supplies last!).  Participants are encouraged to dress up in their most “foolish” costume for a chance to win a sweet prize for “best costume”! 

TO RECEIVE A T-SHIRT, YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE EVENT BY FRIDAY MARCH 14th 2025!!! FINISHER MEDALS WILL BE LIMITED WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!!! ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND EVENT WILL CONTINUE RAIN OR SHINE!

Saturday April 5, 2025  

7:30am: 10K run starts/ends on the beach in front of Margaritaville
7:45am: 5K walk and Kids 1 Mile starts/ends on the beach in front of Margaritaville
9:15am: Awards & Costume Contest begin at Front Patio  
10:00am: Hotel breakfast available for purchase: show bib for discounted rate  
11:00am: After Race Pool Party w/ DJ and pool cabanas at Salty Rim Bar
