Inaugural Run The Stengel!

Come run from Woosung to Polo on the Stengel Trail! Choose from either the 10K or Half Marathon distance along the tree lined former rail corridor. Both distances are out and back. There will be 2 aid stations and will be gun timed. This trail is flat and fast, a great place for a PR, all paces are welcome. Tshirt deadline is April 20.

The Joe Stengel Trail follows an old railroad corridor for 7 miles between the town of Polo and the much smaller community of Woosung. The trail corridor traces farm country along a route scattered with trees. This is a gravel multi-use trail for horses, snowmobiles, bicycles and pedestrians. The trail runs through both Ogle and Lee counties.
