Run for our community! Join us May 7 for a 5k, 10k, or half marathon to support our community and The Big O Foundation.
The race is almost here -- Register by April 27 to ensure a spot in the race and to guarantee your race t-shirt size.
We’re honored to bring the first half-marathon to North Liberty, Iowa, to raise funds for the The Big O Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity. The Big O Foundation was created to honor the life of Owen Eugene Skelley (2006-2022), and it uses his story to spread mental health education, draw our community together, and support the welfare of local youth. The race proceeds will go to this great cause.
There’s a race for all levels: half marathon, 10k, and a run/walk 5k. All races begin and end at Liberty High School and wind through the city of North Liberty. This event is a timed race with all participants receiving a medal at the finish line; however, this isn't a competitive race with formal winners. And, all races can be done virtually –so you can participate even if you’re not in North Liberty and also include your friends and family from across the country. There is a 4-hour time cap for the course--please see the FAQs for more details on this and other features of the race.
This is truly a community event—the fitness businesses listed below are partnering with us to promote the race and promote mental health awareness. The I'm glad You Stayed Project is also helping promote this event.
