Description
Made to Wonder: Race to End Anonymous Donation
Who: Donor-conceived people, parents, donors, professionals, family, friends and allies.
What: Donor Conceived Community founded this annual event in 2022 to create the opportunity for people to connect, share their stories, and build solidarity for ending the practice of 'anonymous' gamete donation.
Anonymous gamete donation was the industry norm in the US for decades. Sperm and egg donors were told to donate anonymously. Parents were told not to tell. As a result, countless donor-conceived people don't have access to important information about their identity, family medical history, and genetic relatives. They were Made to Wonder.
Together, we can make a future that supports the well-being of donor-conceived people! Join us!

This event is sponsored by Donor Conceived Community, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We work with community partners and allies toward a world where donor-conceived people have the option to learn the identity of the donor and relevant inherited health risks. All proceeds from this event support our nonprofit’s mission of providing support, education, and resources for donor-conceived people, parents, donors, and professionals.
