Please join us for the running of the Renee Pickard Memorial Kids on the Run 5K in Wilkesboro on August 2nd, 2025 at 8:30AM.

Renee, a longtime resident and friend to many in Wilkesboro, passed away unexpectedly while competing in the Grand Circle Trailfest, a tough 3-day trail running event that took place in Kanab, Utah in 2021. In memory of Renee's passion and dedication to running, wellness, and coaching youth athletes, we are combining our 15th season of Kids on the Run with our 3rd year of the Renee Pickard Memorial Run.

We have no doubt this combination will honor Renee in spirit, mind, and body.

All proceeds from the Renee Pickard Memorial Kids on the Run 5K will benefit children participating in the Kids on the Run 5K training program held each summer. Registration for this race will not only benefit you in health but fill your cup in spirit witnessing the hard work these youth athletes put in throughout the summer come together as they cross the finish line!
