Greetings from the Motif #1 Day Race Committee! We are excited for the 2025 Motif #1 Day 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run . This event is more than just a race—it is a celebration of health, community, and education. Your participation can make a significant impact on the Rockport Public Schools and our greater community to help continue the mission of building health and wellness in our community.

Why Host a Race?

The Motif #1 Day 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run unites our school and community to celebrate physical fitness and raise vital funds for health and wellness programs at Rockport Public Schools.

These initiatives foster a culture of well-being by promoting fitness, nutrition, and environmental stewardship, equipping students, families, and staff with tools for lifelong success.

Where Does the Money Go?

Your race fees and donations directly support:

• Health and Wellness Resources: Purchasing equipment and funding programs that enhance well-being.
• Community Engagement
• Student Opportunities: Expanding programs that encourage meaningful health-focused activities for students, staff, and families.

Past Race Impacts

Thanks to generous sponsors like you, past race proceeds have enabled:

• Facilities & Equipment: Pickleball courts, water bottle filling stations, classroom snowshoes, and tricycles for preschoolers.
• Programs: Yoga for middle and high school students, the Choose Your Passion initiative, and Jump Rope for Health.
• Community Engagement: Guest speaker series, wellness workshops, and Project Adventure experiences.
• Sustainability: Continued funding for the school garden, outdoor classrooms, and partnerships with Backyard Growers.

Our Vision for the Future

With your support, we aim to expand programs that inspire lifelong wellness, such as the school garden, green projects, and tailored fitness activities that ignite student passion.

Event Info

Awards

Cash prizes and free race entry to next years race will be awarded to the overall top male and female runners. There will also be prizes awarded for the top 2 runners male and female per age division. All 5K runners who cross the finish line will earn a Motif #1 5K race medal.

Directions

The race will start and finish at Harvey Park in downtown Rockport. The address is 4 High Street Rockport, MA 01966.

Parking- Important

Limited parking is available downtown. We encourage everyone to carpool whenever possible. If you live nearby we encourage you to walk.

Number Pick up

Number and t-shirt pickup will be Friday May 16th 5-7pm at the Rockport Baptist Church located in Harvey park. You will also be able to pick up your t-shirt and bib number on race day.

T-Shirts

All runners pre registered by May 1st will be guaranteed a T-Shirt in their chosen size.

Medals

All 5K racers who cross the line get an official 5K race medal.

Volunteer

All volunteers will receive a free race registration themselves, a friend or family member that would like to participate. To volunteer, please email Erin Canniff at [email protected]
