Superhero 5K Fun Run & Walk

Date: Sunday March 6, 2022

 

Event Time: 8am – 12pm

 

Location: Union City – Civic Center

 

 

 

It’s time to dust off that cape and cowl and spring into action this March! Bring your friends and family out for a fun 5K race. We will have prizes, raffles, and costume contests for the best superhero outfits at the event, as well as awards for the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place winners of each category!

 

 

The 8th annual Superhero fun run celebrates the anniversary of the Mark Green Sports Center as well as helps raise funds and awareness for those affected by Parkinson's Disease. The Mark Green Sports Center begun it's Parkinson's Exercise Program in 2016, and since then, this event is the kickoff event for fundraising for the Parkinson's Foundation. $5 from every registration will be donated to our Parkinson's Foundation Moving Day team. 

Make sure to come by dressed as your favorite Superhero, our event photographer will make sure to capture your awesome outfits!  Pick up a registration form at the Union City Sports Center (31224 Union City Boulevard), or sign up online. 

 

Register for the T-shirt option early to ensure you get an offical race shirt!  To be guaranteed a shirt, you must register by Sat, February 11, 2022. Any extra Race T-Shirts will be sold on the day of the race in limited quantities. For more information, please call (510) 675-5808.

 

* All pre-registrations for the race will be closed on March 3rd by 5pm, however, we will be taking walk-up registrations on the day of the race starting at 8am March 6th. Please come early! The race will go on rain or shine!

 

 

 

Costume Contest:

 

Channel your inner superhero or villain for our costume contest. We will have some cool awards for the best costumes after the race! Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes for the actual race. See you there!

 

 

Event details and schedule

The race starts at 9:00am at the Union City Civic Center parking lot (34009 Alvarado-Niles Road, Union City, CA).  Registration & Bib Pick-Up starts at 8 am.  Please provide a photo ID during Bib Pick-Up.
