The Race for Education 5K, a Run/Walk for Hillsborough County Public Schools in partnership with Hillsborough Education Foundation, will proudly take place on April 6, 2024 

We are excited to pick up the pace for public education as we prepare students for life in Hillsborough County Public Schools. In partnership with Hillsborough Education Foundation, join us for our 3rd Annual Race for Education 5K on Saturday, April 6, 2024, as we move to improve mental and physical wellness while celebrating and supporting our students, teachers, and school district initiatives. Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are invited for a fun-filled race down North Boulevard and over the Hillsborough River. Join us for giveaways, snacks, refreshments, student performances, and music to amp you up as you race through downtown.

There is also an untimed 1-mile race option available for families, children, and walkers. 

Registration will include a swag bag with a race-day bib, freebies from our partners in education, a *t-shirt, and a finisher medal.

Packets may also be picked up at the race site on the morning of the event! Registration will be available on race morning, so it’s not too late to invite your friends and family.

Saturday, April 6 – RACE DAY!

Blake High School | Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.               
Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration for BOTH the 5K and 1-Mile starts at 6:30 a.m.

Race Day Registration for 5K is $45. (5K Registration closes at 7:45 a.m.)

Race Day Registration for 1-Mile is $20. (1-Mile registration closes at 8:45 a.m.)

Race Start Times:

5K - 8:00 a.m.  (chip timed)
1 Mile Run/Walk - 9:00 a.m. (running time clock)

Awards (5K only) - approximately 9:00 am
Awesome Custom Finisher Medal for all 5K participants and a special medal for the 1 Mile Mini-Trotters.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PARKING

The race will begin on North Boulevard just north of Julian B. Lane Park. Parking is available for free at Blake High School in the parking garage, as well as Stewart Middle Magnet School and Riverwalk STEM Academy at Just Elementary. Due to the road closure on North Boulevard, we recommend all participants access these three parking options via Spruce Street.
