4th Annual FREEZE Your Buns Run 5k at Winterfest in Spencer, NC - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024!  There will be a 1/2-Mile Fun Dash at 12:30 p.m. before the 5K!

Race Location:  460 S. Salisbury Avenue, Spencer, NC  28159

This race will be held in conjunction with and to benefit the Town of Spencer's 4th Annual Winterfest, a German Christmas Marketplace, held on the first weekend in December, Friday night (12/6) from 5 - 9 P.M., Saturday (12/7)  2 - 9 P.M., and Sunday (12/8) from 2 - 6 P.M. Soak up the sights and sounds of Christmas as you meander through our market of sparkling lights, trees, and merry music.  Shop for unique gifts and watch as artisans delight you with live demonstrations. Lace up your skates or head over to the Kid’s Corner. View the lighting of the Town Tree as you enjoy delicious food, beer or hot chocolate. Come back again, and again, to explore all festivities in our beautiful Christmas Marketplace.  Come participate in the 5K and then join in the community fun and holiday spirit!!!

This race is held in honor of Salisbury Rowan Runner's president David Freeze (see below)!

5K Registration Fee: $25 (through December 6)
                                     $30 (on December 7 - on-site registration available)

Fun Dash Registration Fee:  $15

Awards (5k):  Top 3 overall male/female, top masters male/female, and top 3 age division male/female.  Awards will be presented at 2 P.M. on the Main Stage.

Medals will be given to the top 3 in each of the following divisions for male and female runners:  12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.   

Overall winners not eligible for age group awards.  Awards will not be mailed.

Awards (Fun Run):  Top 3 male and female ages 12 and under.  Awards will be presented at 2 P.M. on the Main Stage.

T-shirts – 5k run/walk participants receive a long sleeve technical T-shirt.

Check-In:  11:30 - 12:55 p.m. check-in and race packet pick up; on-site registration available

Inclement Weather Policy:  In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed for one hour.  We reserve the right to cancel any portion of the race if we determine existing weather conditions pose a safety hazard for the participants.
