DESCRIPTION
Event: The Elf off the Shelf 5k and 1 mile Kids Fun Run

Date: Saturday December 18th

Location: Central High School 5321 Jacksboro Pike

Event starting times: 1 mile kids run starts at 8:30am and 5K starts at 9:00am

Details: Central High School Track and Field team is doing a fundraiser to raise money for new equipment and to repair the facilities. This event will be a chip timed run/walk event. Since this is a Christmas themed event, WE encourage all runners and walkers to please come out in your Christmas apparel. Come dressed as an elf, reindeer, Grinch, Santa Claus or just wear jingle bells on your shoes. This is a fun time for the Fountain City community to come out to have a blast and embrace the Christmas spirit.

Course Description:
-Both courses will start and finish in the Central parking lot.
-Both courses will run on the track/football field, by the stadium, and field house. Christmas music will be playing on both courses.
-The 5k course will head out on the beautiful Dogwood Trail and through Fountain City neighborhoods, and around Central’s sports complex.
-Law enforcement will be on the course to direct traffic along with volunteers.
-There will be two water stations on the course. Water only.

Awards: For the 5K event, top 4 males and females overall will receive Elf medallions. There will also be medals given for 1st place in the following age groups 14 and under, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55+
For the 1 mile kids run, each participant will receive a ribbon.

Ribbons will be given to each finisher that crosses the finish line on the 1 mile course.

Overall finishers and age categories Awards will be passed out at 10:00am for the 5k course.

Tee shirts: Each participant will receive a tee shirt for the 5K event if they register BEFORE Monday November 28th.

Registration: Online registration closes on Saturday December 18th at 9:00am. You may register at Central High School’s cafeteria on Friday December 18th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm and on Saturday December 18th from 7:30am - 8:30am in the cafeteria.

Packet Pick up: You may pick up your packet at Central High School’s cafeteria on Friday December 17th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm and on Saturday December 18th from 7:00am - 8:30am in the cafeteria. This will include race bib and tee shirts.

5k course will close at 10:15am. If you are still on the course after this time please use sidewalks.

Due to insurance regulations, NO pets or strollers are allowed on either course.
