Description

Dolly Goodpuppy Society is a licensed canine rescue in Lamar County focused on education, spay/neuter and trying to reduce the number of unwanted dogs in our area. We serve primarily Lamar and Spalding Counties though our adopted dogs and supporters can be found all over Central Georgia. We are proud to offer the Holiday Hustle each winter as a way to raise funds to support the medical needs of our dogs and to help cover the costs of spay/neuter for those dogs in crisis or families with financial need. We are a 501c3 organization and contributions are fully tax deductible.

Event details and schedule

The One mile run begins at 6:00 with the 5k beginning at 6:30. The race begins and ends at Summer's Field on College Drive in Barnesville and traverses down THomaston Street, Rose Avenue, Greenwood Street where you turn around and reverse your trek back to Summer's Field. The one mile is two trips around the park.

It is virtually the same route as the famous Barnesville Buggy Days Route. The map attached does not reflect the distance you run from the turnaround but it's close enough. 

Please arrive between 5-5:30 especially if only doing the fun run.

Wear bright, holiday attire, you will see lighted hats and too too's people so have fun! Please do not bring dogs unless they are very comfortable running in a crowd. But because it is a night event, we don't want anyone tripping over dogs or leashes. Safety first!
