ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDS AT 6PM FRIDAY NOVEMBER 5TH!

BUT you can still register in person on Saturday morning from 9-10am before the race :)

 

The first annual Super Sam's 5k and Dino Dash in honor of our favorite super-hero, Sam Pampel, is happening November 6.
This year is so special. Not only is this our first event as the Samuel Allen Pampel Foundation, but this race will also be on Sam's Birthday!
Come and celebrate Sam with us! Post-race birthday inspired celebration will include music, temporary tattoos, face painting, balloon artist, joke-telling, a photo-booth, cupcakes, and non-alcoholic drinks from The TAP TRUCK. Costa Vida Taco Food Truck will also be on site to purchase yummy lunch to satisfy adults and children of all ages.

The 5k will be a chiped timed event and the top ten finishers will get a medal! You are also more than welcome to walk it.

The Dino Dash will be a .5 mile fun run for the kids! All of the "dino dashers" will receive medals!

At 10:30 am the Dallas STARS mascot, Victor E. Green, and a friendly neighborhood Dinosaur will kick-off the shorter half mile Dino Dash for younger children.

The 5K for all other participants will begin at 11am.  All ages, walkers, runners and strollers are welcome.

Sam fought hard for four years against neuroblastoma before passing away at 7, on January 23, 2020.
The Samuel Allen Pampel Foundation has been created to raise money, not just for the children and families fighting the same fight as Sam and his family, but also for pediatric cancer research.

Here are just a few facts about pediatric cancer that you should be aware of:
Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States alone.
More than 40,000 children undergo cancer treatment each year; yet few cancer treatments are developed for them. In fact, In the last 20 years, only 4 treatments have been specifically designed for children, and only 4% of the National Cancer Institute annual funding is spent on childhood cancer research.
