We look forward to producing another awesome running experience on Hilton Head Island. We've got 3 race distances to choose from - the Half Marathon (13.1mi) ; the Quarter Marathon (6.55mi) ; and, the 5K (3.1mi). We've got a course that showcases Hilton Head's beauty, we've got the bling-bling, and mother nature is bringing the perfect running weather in November. And, after you have a running good time - you can hang out in the Park with plenty of snacks and a cold beer (first one is on us :) ! It’ll all be waiting for you here at the Hilton Head Half & Quarter Marathon & 5K.

RACE COURSE

Starting and finishing at the new LowCountry Celebration Park - the race course takes you through the S Forest Beach and N Forest Beach neighborhoods - utilizing the leisure paths and hidden roads. Its flat, fast, and abundantly scenic! This is a "locals" course - taking you along the paths that we run regularly because it's just awesome!
**NOTE** This is NOT a closed course. Runners are required to follow all pedestrian traffic laws. There will be Sheriff's Deputies at high traffic intersections to ensure safety.

WHAT MAKES RUNNING THE HILTON HEAD HALF MARATHON SPECIAL

• Race Course - Starting and finishing at the new Celebration park - the race course takes you through the S Forest Beach and N Forest Beach neighborhoods - utilizing the leisure paths and hidden roads. • Giving Back - This event benefits the Hilton Head Sandbox Children's Museum - an awesome local non-profit that provides ALL children the opportunity to Learn to Play and Play to Learn
• Fun - Hilton Head Half Marathon race organizers realize enjoyment is often on equal footing with performance, so expect to have a good time all around.

The historic average temperature for November (race day) is:

* High temp. ~ 72
* Daily avg. for November ~ 63
* Hilton Head averages only 5 days of rain in the month of November :)
Expect a cool, dry and sunny race day!

REGISTRATION

• Registration is online only - cut-off for registration is Saturday (November 2) at 5pm.
• There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. 

PRE-RACE

• Participants may pick up their packets at the race site before the race.
• Please bring your confirmation email (hardcopy or smartphone) to Pick Up.
  - Yes, you may pick up for more than one person - actually, this is recommended and appreciated.
  - Yes, you may purchase additional race T-shirts at packet-pickup.

RACE

• Please be ready to run / walk at race start time.

POST RACE & RESULTS

• Results / Awards ceremony will begin ~ 8:30 (5k) ~ 9:15 (Quarter) ~ 10:15a (Half)
• Preliminary results emailed to you within 20sec of completion of your race - with a link to LIVE results.
• Live Results will be posted until the completion of the Half Marathon.
• Final results will be emailed to you directly shortly after the completion of the entire event.

RULES TO REGISTRATION

• The Hilton Head Half Marathon is open to ALL runners and walkers.
• There is a 3:30 hour cut off for the Half & Quarter Marathon.
• No strollers please.
• Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• No race-day registration.

Host Resort #1 - The Holiday Inn Express

Imagine basically rolling out of bed to get to the start line - and using your own bathroom before heading there! You can park your car and relax knowing that everything you need for the races is right there. Plus, they are opening breakfast early for our runners @ 6a. This is why we encourage you to stay at our Host Hotel - the Holiday Inn Express.

The Hilton Head Half Marathon promises the best that Hilton Head has to offer when it comes to running. You’ll be running on paved leisure paths and oak tree covered roads - think Chamber of Commerce photo perfect. A "locals" course - its FLAT & FAST with ideal temperatures.

WATER STATIONS

There are 3 water stations on the course.
1. N Loop Turnaround ~ 1.6mi, 8.1mi
2. In the Park ~ 3mi, 6.6mi, 9.7mi
3. S Loop Turn ~ 4.6mi, 11.2mi

PARKING

3 Options:

• Coligny Town Parking Lot - adjacent the LowCountry Celebration Park (race site) - suitable for participants and spectators.
• Circle Center Shopping Plaza - adjacent the LowCountry Celebration Park (race site) - suitable for participants and spectators. 
• Host Hotels (see above list) - suitable for participants staying at the host hotels.
  Participants staying at either of the host hotels may walk to the race site since they are one block from race site :)

INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN

Safety for our participants, volunteers, and staff is our number one concern. Any decision we make regarding the production or cancellation of the event will be made with their interest first and foremost. If mother nature does not cooperate on race morning - we will delay the event until the conditions are safe - this delay will continue for a reasonable amount of time until we deem it necessary to cancel the event. If time permits and if the weather poses a threat that is certain to make us cancel the event in the hours prior the start, we will notify participants of the race cancellation via email as soon as that decision is made.
