Description

Outrunning Hunger 5k supports the efforts of The Window in Goshen.  The Window has many services that meet the basic needs of people with a limited income in the Goshen community.  The Window has a food pantry, a clothing closet, a post office, offers showers, faxing, copying,senior boxes, serves coffee & doughnuts in the morning and a hot nutritious lunch M-F, The Window also is the home of Meals on Wheels of Goshen.  

This race begins and ends in Shanklin Park; running/walking along the Millrace, and looping through Shoup-Parsons Woods before coming back to Shanklin via the Millrace.  The majority of the route is on a crushed gravel path that is relatively flat.  The path is lined with trees on one side and a canal on the other.  You will see the Goshen Dam and run through wooded areas as you make your turn.

You are free to run or walk this race. We are allowing jogging strollers, but ask that those with strollers start in the back since the path is so narrow. 

Shirts are only guaranteed to runners registering 8.1.2024 or before.

Prizes will be given to the top 3 finishers, male and female in 10 different age groups.

The race will be timed by Watts My Time.  THE RACE WILL BE AN OPEN START
