Description

Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to escape the ho-hum of ordinary road races. Five events in one night, four on the track and a 5K cross country. You must complete all five events to get a finishing score and receive the coveted Ultimate Runner t-shirt and a 4.91 Ultimate Runner car decal.

Live Results on Race Day

We will have live race day results available online.  These results will show the finishing times and placements for each event.  Final scoring will be computed offline and will be announced at the awards ceremony following all of the events.  Final scoring and results will be posted on this website the day after the event.

Registration Info

Field limited to the first 114 runners. Registration opens in early May (pushed out from mid-April) and closes one week prior to the event. A wait list will go into effect after 108 people have registered. All runners are seeded in heats by their best mile time in the last year. IMPORTANT: If you have questions about your registration, need to drop out, or wish to change your seed time send an email to the race director at [email protected].

NOTE: Twin City Track Club members receive $5 off registration.  You must have claimed your membership at www.RunSignUp.com to receive the discount.   

Train for the Ultimate Runner at the Summer Track Series beginning late May

The TCTC Summer Track Series is a great tune-up for the Ultimate Runner Event.  The Summer Track Series (4 meets) is held at Hanes Park Track, near the R.J. Reynolds High School gym in Winston-Salem. The first meet is on the last Wednesday in May, and the meets continue on the next three Wednesdays in June. All of the meets start at 6:00 PM. There is no entry fee. You may run as many events as you like. These events are for runners of all abilities and ages. If you don't want to run, come out and socialize with the other spectators and help with finish line timing and race officiating. We will have a digital clock set up, but there will be no official timekeeping or records kept.
