Description

Prepare to achieve your personal best on this fun, 3.1 mile course. The 5K will start & finish at the historic Phil Welch Stadium, home of the St. Joseph Mustangs.  You'll enjoy scenic autumn views of the beautiful Southwest parkway & return to Phil Welch for healthy refreshments, music, awards & family activities. Chip timing provided by Show-Me Running Company.  They will be using a RFID chip timing system which will allow us to have finish line photos and videos, as well as an instant results kiosk. Get registered today!!

Can't join us on October 10th?  Participate virtually--on your time, your way and you will still receive an event t-shirt! (Virtual participants not eligible for awards). 

 

**IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE REGISTERING: If you register for this event & it is canceled due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 Pandemic, it will be held virtually (it will NOT be rescheduled). Who are you helping?

Helen Davis School serves students ages 5 to 21 with significant developmental disabilities in St. Joseph and surrounding northwest counties.  Students learn authentic skills in a safe environment to be productive and integrated into their home, community, leisure and work.  Helen Davis PTO is a 501c3 organization supporting the unmet needs of Helen Davis School and this year we are working toward raising funds for a new turf (rubber surface) for our accessible playground.

8:15am - 9:15am:       Late registration & packet pick-up (Phil Welch Stadium)

8:45am:                       Zumba warm-up

9:15am:                       1 mile fun walk-n-roll (accessible to everyone)

9:30am:                        5K Run/Walk

10:30am:                      Presentation of Awards

 

The 2020 Run/Walk is for all ages and fitness levels.  There is something for everyone.

Awards provided to top male & female finishers in the following categories:

16 - 19

50 - 59

60 - 69

70+

Medals will be given to top 3 finishers for all age groups.  Trophies provided to overall male and female winners. 

 

Packet Pick-Up

Friday, October 9th at Helen Davis School (2900 Scott St.) from 7:30am to 3:45pm. If you are unable to pick up during this time, packet pick-up will resume on Saturday morning at Phil Welch Stadium from 8am to 9:15am.

Race Day Registration ($30) is available at Phil Welch starting at 8am & ending promptly at 9:15am.
