Join us for our THIRD ANNUAL Fall Challenge!

Run our 5K, 10K, or do the double, a 5K + 10K race on the NEWEST trails in New Paltz! These races begin at the Springtown Road entrance to the River2Ridge Trail on the Wallkill River.  The races run up carriage paths and dirt roads towards the Shawangunk Mountains. There are amazing views of Mohonk’s Skytop Tower and The Trapps on the way up throughout this new trail as well as beautiful views of the Wallkill River valley and New Paltz on your way down.

The 10k runs along the new River-to-Ridge trail and does a loop in the Mohonk Preserve's Foothills trails in New Paltz. The 5K runs along the River-to-Ridge trail

The 5k begins on Sunday, October 18th at 7:30am at the River-to-Ridge trail head on Springtown Road, New Paltz

The 10k begins on Sunday, October 18th at 8:30am at the River-to-Ride trail head on Springtown Road, New Paltz

Race Information:

• $30 race fee for the 5k


• $40 race fee for the 10k


• $50 race fee for the double (5K & 10K)


• includes a short sleeve performance tee.


• Registration the day of the race is $35 for the 5k, $45 for the 10k


• Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course.


• All races are chipped timed with overall prizes for the winner's, and age group awards in 10 year age groups for the 5K, and 5 year age groups for the 10K.


• Online registration closes on October  14th at Midnight 


• Packet pickup is on Friday, October  8th, 2pm - 5pm at the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce office, New Paltz.


• Day of Registration & Packet Pickup - October 18th beginning at 6:30am at River to Ridge trail head on Springtown Road, New Paltz.


• Parking is limited at the trailhead for the start of the race.  Additional parking can be found at Wallkill View Farms, Clemson Brother's Brewery at the Gilded Otter, and the village of New Paltz municipal lots on the map below.  We will be providing shuttle service to the starting line from the parking areas.
