What does the Tampa Firefighters 10th Annual Fire 5K event benefit?
100% of the proceeds of our Annual Pediatric Burn Survivor 5K/1 mile Fun/Run benefits Camp Hopetake,  a week-long summer camp we host in Tampa for previously burned children of all ages. This year we are celebrating the 30th year of this special camp!!  

Camp Hopetake provides a safe and supportive environment for kids to share their feelings and interact with other young burn victims from all over Florida. The camp is free of charge to all the who attend. This non-threatening atmosphere allows them to enjoy activities including going to Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, Disneyworld, Adventure Island,A Tampa Bay Rays game,  swimming, bowling, fishing, games, crafts, movies and more as they cope with the social and emotional scars associated with their injuries.

6:30 am Day of Registration & Packet Pick Up
8:00 am 5K Start
8:05 am 1 Mile Start

What is the price of the race and is it timed?
5K: $30 10/02/20 - 10/02/20; $35 race day—chip timed race
1 Mile: $15 until 10/02/20; $20 race day—not chip timed

What is included in the participant registration price?
5K: Dri-fit gender specific race shirt, guaranteed if registered by Sunday, 4/22/19 & finisher medal!
1 mile: Finisher medal!

Are there awards?
Yes! Overall male & female 5K winners receive a Fire Helmet!
Male & female bobblehead awards in 5-year age groups to 80+

Where & When is Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up?

Where do I park on race day?
Parking is available on downtown Tampa streets in and around the Tampa Firefighters Museum and is usually free on weekends!

Is gear check/hold available race morning?
Gear check/hold is not available, please plan accordingly if waiting to pick up race day!

Are strollers permitted to participate in the 5K or 1-Mile events?
Yes, for safety reasons, participants pushing a stroller/baby jogger will line up at the back of the starting area.

Are dogs permitted to participate in the 5K or 1-Mile events?
Yes, for safety reasons, dogs must be on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6’.
Owners must clean up after their pet(s) and line up at the back of the start area.

Are scooters, bicycles, roller blades or wheeled vehicles allowed to participate?
No, for safety reasons, except for strollers, no wheeled vehicles, including wheeled shoes, are allowed on the course.
