Publix Family Fun Day, Crazy Hat 5K/10K

My Favorite Race Events is proud to announce that Publix will be presenting the 5th annual Publix Family Fun Day 10K/5K.  

 

This is also the second Race in the Publix Championship Racing Series.

We are also proud to announce that Christian Brothers Automotive will once again be hosting the event at their beautiful facility at The Shoppes at Price Crossing in North Port.     It's going to be a fantastic morning featuring a Crazy Hat; Derby Day themed 10K, 5K timed road course, and a 1K walkathon all to support the Florida Compassion Foundation, The Woodland Middle School Band and the Rescue Garage.    

 

Race Directors Tracy and Kim Hussey and everyone at "My Favorite Race Events, LLC, are making this an excellent day for the entire family.

 

We pay attention to every detail to make your Race Day an exceptional experience.

From Packet Pickup with an awesome high-quality shirt to your race starting exactly on time, a course that is safe and accurate, more manned water stations than you may actually need. Porta-Potties with short or no lines including a couple on the 10K course. Finish and receive a beautiful medal.  Hot Pancakes and Bacon for everyone including the last runner to finish and the volunteers coming off the course.    Great awards and music and a really good time for everyone!

 

Dress in your Craziest Derby Hat.  After all, it is Kentucky Derby Day! 

 

Fun and games for the kids of all ages, including everyone in a crazy hat, get a raffle ticket, and one of you will take home a custom Crazy Hat Day, Corn Hole game with Bags!  

We will also have the inflatables and a climbing wall, to keep the kids entertained while mom and dad eat, drink and enjoy time with friends at the After Party.

(remember you still need to be able to run in your hat)

The Woodland Middle School Jazz Band will be performing!

 

Age group awards go 3 deep.    First, Second and Third place medals will be awarded.

Age group, Masters and Overall Winners will each receive a

Crazy Hat!!

All runners will receive a Finishers Award and a great a Race Shirt.   

 

You must be registered by April 10 to get a Race Shirt.

Parking

Parking for the event will be in front of the Publix Supermarket, 1251 South Toledo Blade Blvd.,  North Port, Florida.   Parking is free.  Walk to the sidewalk along Toledo Blade and cross Price at the crosswalk. Do not attempt to cross Price anywhere but at the light.   Please do not park anywhere around Christian Brothers, Walgreens, Advanced Auto Parts or Little Caesars Pizza or The Pink Tequila.   You could be towed.
 

Packet PickUp

At packet PickUp, you will be able to pick up your Race Packet and goody bag.   This will include your Shirt, Bib and a complete set of written instruction for the race day activities.

 

In our Race Store, you will be able to purchase additional items to make your Race Day even more memorable.

 

Crazy Hat 50/50 Raffle — $5.00 ea.  We have added a Crazy Hat 50/50 to this event. It is a 50/50 raffle that you enter as often as you like.   On race day we will draw a winner and the winner will receive 1/2 of whatever had been sold!

Non-Runner Food and drink wrist band — $15.00 each.  The after-party will feature amazing food for our runners.   But you do not have to eat alone.   For just $15.00 you can get as many wristbands as you need to feed your family or any other spectators that came to cheer you on.  For just $15.00 anyone can go through the food line with you after the race includes 2 drink tickets.

2 Person Kayak Raffle — $5.00 ea.  An awesome 2 person kayak raffle!    Tickets are being sold across all of our races.   The drawing will be held at the Publix Fall Championships at the Cool Today Park, in North Port, FL on November 14,  2020.

 

RACE REFUND POLICY

Your entry into this race is considered a Charitable Donation to the Florida Compassion Foundation.  You can cancel your registration online within 15 minutes of registering and receive a full refund.  After 15 minutes there are no refunds for any reason!   This race has a NO REFUND POLICY.  By registering, you are accepting and agreeing to this policy.
