The health & safety of athletes, officials and event organizers is a priority for the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the City of Atlanta and our sponsors. We have made the difficult decision to run the 2020 Race for Empowerment as a Virtual Running Event.  

We value our runners and always make safety our number one priority. Our team hires a number vendors and has a large number volunteers along with our crew. Closer to the finish, you always find our sponsors, partners and spectators there supporting you. With the number of COVID-19 cases in our state, we cannot ensure the health and safety of our runners, and all who are involved in creating the race and expo experience you deserve.
 
We do intend to race again in 2021 and continue the tradition.
