Come and join over 8000 runners in the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running on 4 October 2020.

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point to point route alongside the iconic Scottish loch and is quite possibly one of the most stunning marathon routes anywhere in the world. It is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere to runners of all abilities and unforgettable camaraderie.

If a full-scale marathon isn’t for you, why not enter the BaxtersRiver Ness 10K? This flat point-to-point course, with excellent ‘pb’ potential, winds through the historic Highland capital alongside the banks of the scenic River Ness. If you prefer a team approach to sport, then the 10K Corporate Challenge for teams of 4-6 employees is the ideal race for you.

The Baxters River Ness 5K Fun Run, open to all ages and abilities, follows a scenic route alongside the picturesque River Ness to finish alongside other races at Bught Park.

Why not make a Highland weekend of it and come with family or friends?  The Festival of Running has plenty to entertain runners and spectators over the weekend with a free Sports Expo, the Baxters Food & Drink Fayre, live music, kids’ activities and a Wee Nessie for under-5s.

Sunday 4 October

06.45 – 07.15      Marathon runners arrive at Bught Park for transportation to marathon start

07.30 – 07.45      Buses departing Bught Park for arrival at marathon start  

08.00 – 09.30      Pre-race registration for 5K Fun Run

08.00 – 09.45      Pre-race registration for the Wee Nessie

08.30 – 16.00      Sports Expo – open to public

09.00 – 16.00      Event Village open to public, free entry. Sports Expo, live music, family                                          activities & Baxters Food & Drink Fayre
