John Wayne Grit Series - Pioneertown, CA Half Marathon & 10K

Saturday, October 3, 2020

Bring your John Wayne grit to the trails and #RunToFightCancer.

Located near Joshua Tree National Park, Pioneertown was built in the 40’s to be an 1880s themed Old Western movie set and is now a popular getaway, home to the world famous Pappy & Harriet’s, and is the site of our newest John Wayne Grit Series event.

The sun-exposed course is a challenging and picturesque technical, single-track trail guaranteed to bring out your #JohnWayneGrit. You’ll start off on Pioneertown’s “Mane Street” and head to the trails through the Sawtooth Mountains with 360-degree views of the spectacular high desert. Finish back in town and meet us at the Hay Barn for the John Wayne Grit Down!

The run benefits John Wayne Cancer Foundation so every step you take helps fight cancer. Register today as an individual or start a team and fundraise for your chance to win exclusive merchandise, free race entries, and hotel stays!

Like John Wayne said, “They may find a cure for cancer even without your help, but if I were you, I wouldn’t bet my life on it.”
