About:

Join us for our 7th annual Get Outdoors Run/Walk. 6K around the Williams Creek Lake in Watkins Mill State Park. Starting Line is near the Beach. Large parking lots available. Race-Day registration will open at 7:00am. Race begins at 8:00am. We will have three separate timed chipped starts for runners, walkers and strollers. All ages welcome. Every participant receives a finisher medal. Get Outdoors Day event is designed to encourage healthy, active outdoor fun. Join us as we celebrate the day by running or walking a 6K at Watkins Mill Historic Site and State Park. The 6K will take place on our 8-foot-wide Paved Bicycle Lake Trail that circles the 100-acre Williams Creek Lake and has six wooden bridges and one metal truss bridge. The trail has a moderate grade as it weaves in and through oak-hickory woodland. There are many sights to see along the way as you are in the great outdoors. Come immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery of our historic park as you experience the wildlife and breathe in the fresh air on your run/walk.

Post Party:

Join us for refreshments and awards.  Results will be announced as soon as all age category winners have finished the race.

Friday, Sep 18  from 6-7pm at Club 7 in Kearney
