Description

Where else can you run or walk with your dog without having to wait at crosswalks!

Dogs and owners will start and end at Depot street park which is also where the Home of the Hamburger Museum is located, downtown Seymour, WI. 

Seymour K9 unit will have Alto police dog at the event!

and many prizes to be given out!

In 2017 girls from Girl Scout Troop 2082  earned their silver award by hosting a 5K run or
2-mile walk with your K9 (paws for a cause) and  donated the money to
Seymour Police Department K-9 unit. It turned out to be a great success with 147 participants.

It is now continued as a yearly event by Seymour Scouts

 Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Explorer Scouts, and venturing Scouts are
all great programs that prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. And instill leadership skills and help build courage, confidence, and character in our youth.

5K Race: Run the 3.1-mile course or walk the 2 miles course.

 There will be water stations along the way on both the 5K run & 2mile walk for people and dogs.

 This timed activity without chips! please remember this is a FUN Event!

 The race begins at 6 pm

 Top 3 male and female finishers running with a dog for each age bracket (18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+) will  be presented with awards.

Prizes will be given out to randomly drawn bib numbers. Please check after race to see if you won anything!

Registration

Register early to guarantee a goodie bag with a race T-shirt. 

there will be some Canine race bandanas!

  Early packet pickup: 4-6pm Thursday, May 30th th, 2019 at the Depot Street Park Pavilion

• 4 pm:  packet pickup and race day registration.
• Race start runners 6:00pm
• Walkers 6:10 pm
• Awards 7:00 pm

 Race will be held even if raining, Unless there is severe weather.
