After a sold-out event in 2019, and the unfortunate cancellation of the 2020 event, the 5.30 team are excited to bring their lifestyle event concept to Brighton again.
In the early morning of Friday 10th September, hundreds of lucky participants will take to the streets of Brighton whilst the city is still asleep. The unique 5.3km course will start from New Road, pass through the Lanes, along the seafront and back for a glorious finish through the Royal Pavillion Gardens.
We hope to provide you with a fresh, nutritious breakfast at the finish. This will be dependent on any restrictions in place.
A BIT OF HISTORY
5.30 was created by designer Sergio Bezzanti and nutritionist Sabrina Severi in Modena, Italy in 2009. The idea was to promote a healthy lifestyle through regular physical activity and eating well.
The 5.3k walk/run happens at 5.30 in the morning of a business day in the town centre. Run 5.30 is an event that encourages positive emotions and aims at improving the quality of life of its participants by:
- Increasing their awareness of the benefits of exercising and eating healthy foods
- Showing that an earlier start of the day allows to fit in exercise without impacting the working day
- Allowing to experience the city in a brand new (early morning) light
- Making exercise fun and interactive with a really positive group of people encouraging each other
BUT... WHY AT 5.30 IN THE MORNING?
WHAT DO I RECEIVE WITH THE ENTRY?
All participants will be emailed the week before the event date to confirm t shirt pick up information and final details for the event morning.
Please note that planning remains fluid and we will react to any changes in circumstances with the pandemic in England.
We are still to confirm the breakfast offered after the 5.3km route as this is dependent on our suppliers. We are working hard to get this organised!
