Description

The 10k Run & 5k Walk/Run take participants through vineyard rows where plump, soon-to-be picked grapes await the fall harvest and along the adjacent Leelanau Trail. In conjunction with the two-day Harvest Stompede event, a self-guided wine and food pairing tour of the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, this unique departure from a typical running course offers an unparalleled experience for both serious and recreational runners or walkers. Wine tour tickets are not included or required with your race registration. A wicking tank top is optional ($12) for entries received by August 19.The price is $20 for the 5k and $25 for the 10k. Prices from August 20 until the close of on-line registration September 7 is $25 and $30. Register at packet pickup or on race day for $30 and $35. Post-race snacks will be provided.

10k & 5k Awards: Top overall M/F, top master M/F, (40-49) top grand master M/F (50-59) and top master of longevity M/F. (60+) Top 3 in each age group with 5 year increments including 10 & under and 70 & over. Award ceremony will be at 10:15.

Packet Pick-up/Late Registration: Friday 4-7 p.m. at Shady Lane Cellars and Saturday 7-8:30 a.m. at Shady Lane Cellars.

Other Information: Corral Start- Fastest runners at the front. Walkers please file in towards the back. RFID Chip Timing by Endurance Evolution of Traverse City. Qualified Race- Traverse City Track Club’s Grand Prix Race Circuit. No strollers due to the vineyard terrain and no pets due to the narrow course. Parking in Shady Lane Cellars designated area only. No parking along the road. A limited number of tanks will be available for sale on race day.
