Description

The 4th annual School Spirit Run for Niger is a family friendly 5K run/walk through the beautiful James Island County Park trails. It is a morning of friendly competition between schools as well as a celebration of education in the lowcountry and in Niger, Africa. Participants are encouraged to wear t-shirts and memorabilia from their school of choice to emphasize unity despite dissimilarity. Proceeds from the event will go directly toward the construction of a school in Niger, Africa, one of the most impoverished nations in the world.


Parking is free for all walkers/runners.  Please tell the attendant at the gate you are with the Run for Niger.  Please park at the Stono Shelter or the Wando Shelter.
Please pick up your race bags at James Island Presbyterian Friday, 11/06/20 from 3:00 - 5:00


About the Remember Niger Coalition


Remember Niger Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to uniting people and mobilizing resources to expand quality educational opportunities in Niger, Africa. The organization is unique in that it partners with and supports Nigeriens who have a remarkable vision for their country. To date, the organization has helped its Nigerien partners construct, furnish, and support ten schools and two centers for special education in Niger. The Rally for Niger is the organization’s annual campaign in which groups all over the United States host fundraising events to raise money for a specific cause.
