 Special Olympics Forsyth County offers year-round sports and wellness opportunities to over 1,000 local athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Special Olympics provides opportunities for children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities  to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Join us for the third Special Olympics Forsyth County 5k, and 1 Mile Fun Walk & Roll! This year's race will offer both in-person and virtual options! Please join us this year for what we promise to be a thrilling event conducted in a different format. Participants will have the option for the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run & Roll will be in-person, or participate in virtually this year. We continue to strive for the safety of participants, volunteers, and spectators.  But we promise it will still be fun and a high-value event for all participants!  Please join us in October and run to support Special Olympics Forsyth County!
