Join us for the 36th annual classic style road race and start the year off right! Enjoy picturesque Bristol RI with a stunning course through Colt State Park and beautiful Poppasquash Rd.
****New for 2021 - We will be adhering to a strict set of COVID protocols for this year's race. Please review those protocols here. Face coverings will be required for all parts of the race. You may remove your face covering while running if you are greater than 6 ft. from another participant. We will be assigning your start time based on your finish time. Wave assignments would start at 10:30am, 10:35am, 10:40am, 10:45am, 10:50am, 10:55am, 11am, 11:05am, 11:10am, 11:15am. 25 people per wave start. Participants start a single file on a “time trial” or trickle basis: one participant sent off at 10-sec intervals. With 6 participants sent off per minute, we can start each wave at 5-minute intervals. Participants remain in their cars until 10 mins before their assigned wave, and line up socially distant on the bike path for the start. There will be no awards ceremony this year but this year's race will be chip-timed.
Please note - part of the course is on an untreated bike path in Colt State Park. Depending on weather conditions, there may be uneven and slippery conditions, plan accordingly with yaktrax, snowshoes or careful footing. See the course map for the exact route. In the true "old school running" theme - the course is "you-get-what-you-get" and participants should sign up accepting these conditions.
