The Algoma Shanty Days 5K is a fun-filled family event. This year marks our 28th Anniversary! The 5K includes a start and finish at the Robert Ray Gallery. You’ll race in front of the former Ahnapee Brewery, now the Von Stiehl Cider Bar, and the historic Von Stiehl Winery and then run over the Second and Fourth street bridges, be sure to look right to catch a glimpse of the last two remaining shanty’s. You will run by Perry Field then up towards Algoma High School where there is a quick out and back. From there it is smooth sailing as you travel downhill along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline to the finish.
