Description

The 2nd Annual Memorial Team 5K run/walk is being held in honor of Senior Trooper Steven Vincent D-57 in remembrance of his sacrifice.  This 5K run will raise money to ensure our Trooper's Charities will continue to have funding to provide Level 4 Ballistic vests to all new Troopers upon graduation from the Louisiana State Police Training Academy as well as continue to fund our Louisiana Trooper's Charities - Troop D Grant a Wish and local philanthropic programs.  The race is a team event with no team being too small or too large.  Teams may name their team and dress in appropriate costumes.  A prize will be awarded for the best team costume.  The course will go through and around the Golden Nugget / L'Auberge Casino Resort areas.  First responders and military teams are encouraged to run in uniform to show respect for Steven’s sacrifice.  

A $1000 donation will be given to the Best Team Costumes favorite charity in their honor.

Top Speed racers will have cash prizes for the top speed men and women.

Teams will be scored by a cumulative score and penalties will be assessed by having less than 30 team members.  Refer to the Race Guide for exact scoring.

Packet pickup will be available race day from 6:00am to 7:00 am.

Same Day sign-up is only available for non-timed individuals.

Race starts at 8am.
