Welcome

The sixth Annual Whitehills 5K Run/Walk Race will be held Sunday September,13th 2020. The course is measured and chip-timed. There is also a free half-mile Kids Fun Run (no registration necessary). Race proceeds will go toward needs identified by Whitehills Elementary School, which serves a diverse population. About 30% of Whitehills students receive free and reduced lunch; race profits allow the Whitehills School Association to serve the needs of our entire student population (see recently funded projects here). Come and enjoy the beautiful tree lined streets through the Whitehills neighborhood and enjoy refreshments after the race. All ages and abilities welcome! 

New Date Notice

In June 2019, the current Whitehills Elementary building was demolished, clearing the way for a brand-new building to be built.  The new building will be done by late August 2020, which means a new date in September for the race will be better for all participants to see the new building.

Course Notes

• 
  Street 5K: This is a fast course with a couple of gentle hills, and is a great course for novice runners, younger participants, senior racers, and anyone in between! Strollers are welcome (will start in back of main group), but no dogs are allowed unless they are service animals.


• 
  Restrooms: New Whitehills Elementary School will be partially open to use bathrooms.

Entry Fees

• $20 (pre-registration) for ages 10 and up (includes shirt) through June 30


• $25 (pre-registration) for ages 10 and up (includes shirt) July 1-September 8th.


• $30 for ages 10 and up (shirt not guaranteed) September 9th-through race day


• $15 (pre-registration) for ages 5-9 (includes shirt), add $5 race day


• FREE for 5K Run/Walk for 0-4 years with an adult (no need to register; no chipped bib given)


• FREE for Kids Fun Run (no need to register; no chipped bib given)

Race Times

• 8:30 am – Kids Fun Run Warmup (optional and free!)


• 8:45 am – Kids Fun Run (about a half mile, no registration needed)


• 9:00 am – 5K Run/Walk

Packet Pick Up & Parking

• Packet pick up AND ONSITE REGISTRATION Saturday, September 12th  10-11 am and beginning at 7:30 am on race day.
  
  • Packet pick-up location for Saturday and Sunday is at Whitehills Elementary school @ 621 Pebblebrook Lane.
  
  


• Participants will be able to park at Whitehills Elementary school parking lot, and along Pebblebrook lane.

Awards

• Kids Fun Run - each participant receives a special prize; no registration is needed for this half mile run


• 5K Run/Walk - finisher medals, male and female overall, 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each age bracket
  
  
  
  • Brackets: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
  
  
  • Top male and female winners will each receive a Playmakers gift card.
  
  
  • Top three male and female winners in each age division will receive a medal.

  • Fastest family - fastest average time for a group of three or more registered finishers from the same family
  
  
  • Best Whitehills spirit - show off your Wolf Pack spirit (single or group award to be given at judges' discretion)
  
  
  • Farthest travel - award to registered finisher who traveled the farthest to participate in the Whitehills 5K
  
  
  • Oldest and youngest registered finishers
