Welcome to the registration page for the Poolesville Day 5K Run/ Walk!

The Poolesville Day 5K Run /Walk is an annual community event and is part of the Poolesville Day celebrations for the town of Poolesville, Maryland. Runners and walkers of all levels of ability are encouraged to participate. The 5K is followed by the classic small-town Poolesville Day Parade, just one block away, and a fun-filled street festival featuring vendors, entertainment, games, and local highlights, until 4 p.m.

A note on strollers:  As this is a family-friendly event, our littlest participants in strollers are more than welcome. Please note that children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to be registered; however, they will NOT be assigned a bib & they MUST REMAIN IN THEIR STROLLER for the duration of the race.  All participants who will not ride in a stroller, must register for the 5K race and pay the registration fee. For the safety and enjoyment of all of our participants, those wishing to walk the race or push a stroller must start at the back of the race behind the runners. We appreciate your cooperation!

Packet Pickup will be held as follows:

• Friday, September 22nd, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m., Poolesville Baptist Church


• Saturday, September 23rd (RACE DAY), 7 a.m. – 7:45 a.m., Poolesville Baptist Church

The Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk is sponsored by the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) and the Monocacy Lions Club. Last year, nearly 400 runners and walkers participated. We are grateful to PACC members who regularly sponsor the Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds (after expenses) are used by PACC and Monocacy Lions Club to directly support our community.

Awards immediately follow the close of the race. Stick around for your award and to cheer on your peers. Trophies are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fastest times in the male and female open categories. Ribbons are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each male and female age group. If you are unable to collect your award, please contact the race coordinator to arrange pick up. 

Please note: For everyone’s safety, skates and pets are prohibited on the race course.

Can’t run/walk, but want to volunteer on Race Day? Please contact the race coordinator. Many volunteers are needed to make Race Day work smoothly.
