The Harvest Festival's Sugar Rush 5K

The False River Harvest Festival’s Sugar Rush 5K and 1 mile is an annual event that promotes healthy and active lifestyles by hosting a road race in the beautiful city of New Roads, Louisiana. This year’s Sugar Rush 5K welcomes all ages and physical abilities to participate in the run/walk and celebrate with while supporting a local school! Be sure to stay after the race to enjoy the festival’s food, rides, and live music!

Donations:  If you would like to further support the Rougon Elementary School with a separate donation, you can do that while you register or click on the Donate button above.  The donations will go to the Rougon School for the purchase of a float to be used for the Lion's Club Mardi Gras Parade, which serves as a fundraiser for the school.    We really appreciate your support!!

Registration:  

Now - September 30th 

 

October 1st - October 20th 

 

October 21st - (Race Day On-Site Registration) 

*Infants/Toddlers ages 1-4 in strollers are free 

*T-Shirts are guaranteed if registration is completed by October 15

*The event will occur rain or shine. There will be no refunds if the event is cancelled for extreme circumstances. 

*The race will be on foot. Please no bikes, skates, etc. 

 

Race Day At A Glance:

8:15 am - 8:45 am Packet/T-Shirt Pick up and On-Site Registration 

9:00 am - 1 mile run/walk 

9:15 am - 5K run/walk

*Awards immediately following the 5K at 10:30 am

10:00 am - Harvest Festival begins 

Awards: 

1 Mile - Overall Male and Female & 1st place Male & Female in Age groups

Age Groups:  1-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19
