On-site Race Day Registration at 7 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025.  

Online Registration Closes Midnight Thursday, August 28th at Midnight.

A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports.  Location 2070 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).

There will be NO early packet pickup.  Packet Pickup will be RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM in the entrance to the field across from parking area. 

BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RESCUE and receive (1) an additional door prize ticket.  NEW ITEMS ONLY:  dog/cat food (dry or wet), dog/cat treats, dog/cat toys, cat litter, puppy pee pads, gift cards (Petco, Care-A-Lot, Chewy, Amazon) or other needed pet supplies for rescued animals.

DOG SAFETY:  please remember this is a 1 or 3.1 mile race depending on your registered event.  Consider the heat and your dog’s ability to manage the temperature and running on asphalt.  Water for the dogs will be available at start/finish.  

NOTE:  Dogs are permitted to participate in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker.  Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Due to the chance there will be high temperatures on race day, and for the safety of the dogs, Canine Awards will be for the1 Mile Run/Walk only.  Dogs competing in the Canine 1 Mile MUST be registered separately under their name and NOT the name of the human.  There is a $5 fee for dogs to compete for a placement award.  

The 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut start at 8:00 am on Saturday. August 30, 2025.  Same starting line as the 5K event.  Dogs may accompany participants on the 1 Mile event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

The 5K starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Runners will utilize USATF-certified course VA20012RT.  This course follows the road running parallel to Jamestown Rd., then right onto Landfall, run to a turnaround, and back to the clearing area.  Dogs may accompany participants on the 5k event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Pup Photo Contest after the 1 Mile and 5K have finished.  Entry Fee is $5 and open to anyone onsite with a pet.   Contest Categories include: Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look Alike, Cutest Pet Smile, Best Large Breed, Best Small Breed. Each winner will receive a prize!   

There will be a vendor fair on site with animal friendly and community service vendors for your enjoyment between 8 am and noon.  

All participants who register by deadline on August 22, 2025 are guaranteed a race t-shirt.  A limited number of race t-shirts MAY be available for any later registrations but availability and specific sizes cannot be guaranteed.  A die cast finishers medal will be available to the first 200 finishers.  

(1) Beer and (1 slice) Pizza included in registration.  Non-drinkers and underage participants will be able to receive a non-alcoholic beverage.  

Parking is in the Jamestown Foundation Settlement parking lot.

Top three male and female 10 and under
Top three male and female 11-13
Top three male and female 14-16
Top three male and female 17-19
Top three in 10 year age groups from 20-29 through 70-74 and 75 and over.

5K Canine Awards:  If you are registering a dog in the Canine 1 Mile event,  you must register separately under the Name of the Dog and not under the Human’s Name.  There cannot be the same registered name in 2 different events.

The 1 Mile Fun Run and Pup Strut will be an untimed event for humans.  Dogs are permitted to participate in the 1 Mile with their human and are not required to register and pay a separate fee for canine awards unless they choose to.
