The Running of the Bays Half Marathon is a certified half marathon course that starts in the quaint little town of Mound, Minnesota, and meanders through some of the most beautiful bays that lake Minnetonka has to offer. The half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. from the Mound Westonka Grandview Middle School.

​The 5K Family fun run is for all ages and paces. Strollers are welcome at the back of the 5K start. The 5K will start from the Mound Westonka Grandview Middle School at 7:35 a.m. The 5K participants will line up behind the half marathon runners and follow them out. The 5K is a continuation of the annual Our Lady of the Lake's Incredible Festival 5K. Your victory will come with a grand finish at the Bethel Methodist Church in downtown Mound.

Packet Pick Up

Packet pick up will be at Lord Fletcher's on the wharf deck stage on Friday, September 7th, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Same day pick up at the race will also be available at Grandview Middle School beginning at 6:00am.

Gear Drop

Gear Drop will be available at the start and bags transferred to the finish.  Running of the Bays is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Please bring your own bag with your Bib # clearly marked on it.

Race Swag

Events may be delayed, shortened or in rare circumstances cancelled, in the event of inclement weather including lightening, wind, heat, snow, or the threat of eminent severe weather which may harm or injure participants, staff, set up crew and bystanders. Event time frame includes setup, race and tear down. All possible attempts will be made to contact those involved by email, website and social media. No refunds or transfers allowed.
