The 1/2 Marathon You Don't Want to Miss!

8 AM Start time !!

Ipswich Ale and the Ipswich Rotary are proud to announce the third "Ipswich Ale 1/2 Marathon".  On Saturday, April 28th, runners will "Storm the Castle" as they leave Crane Beach, attack the Castle Hill surrounding the Crane Estate, and proceed towards Ipswich River and country roads, until you wind back to the beach.

This event sells out every year so you'll need to get on board early!

We are grateful to the Trustees of Reservations for their support in this long-distance event, starting and finishing at Crane Beach.

Proceeds will go to the Ipswich Rotary Charitable Trust in support of local high school scholarships.

Start Location: Crane Beach Parking lot, 310 Argilla Road, Ipswich, MA

Parking Location: Crane Beach Parking Lot

Bib Pick up: Friday, April 27th at the Ipswich YMCA 11AM-7PM 110 County Road Ipswich, MA 

                   Saturday, April 28th 6:30AM-7:50AM Crane Beach Parking lot 310 Argilla Road

                                                         Ipswich, MA

Arrival: The earlier the better! Arrive 60 minutes before the race to have ample time to park and get to the start.

Prizes: Cash prizes for Top Male and Female Category Winners.

Course: 13.1 miles of scenic roads leaving the beach and running along Ipswich River and adjacent waterways.

Course Time Limit: 3 hours

Aid Stations: 5 Water stations and 3 Portapotty stops on the course. Restrooms also available at the beach.

Fun: Great Ipswich Ale Half Marathon Medals for all finshers and enjoy the Ipswich Ale Tap Mobile (ID required) and good vibes provided.
